Taking the necessary steps to eat healthfully is so important, especially with all the junk food out on the market. Below are the top ten foods for good health. hey all contain loads of nutrition, including fiber, vitamins, iron and antioxidants. Blueberries
Blueberries have been known to lower LDL cholesterol and are loaded with antioxidants. They are actually rated number 1 in concentration of antioxidants in the fruit and vegetable category. They lower the risk of cancer and heart disease, as well as keep vision keen and urinary health in top shape. They also contain many anti-inflammatory properties, so you really can’t go wrong with these guys!
Olive Oil
Olive oil has lots of monounsaturated fat, which lowers the risks associated with heart disease and many cancers. Most people on good diets today are told to use olive oil (instead of butter, margarine and other oils) because of the health benefits associated with it, but that doesn’t mean you should load up on it – fat is fat, so eat it in moderate amounts.
Yogurt
Yogurt has lots of healthy bacteria. This helps the immune system and fights infections. Yogurt aids in reducing high blood pressure and is loaded with calcium and vitamins. Yogurts come in many flavors to enjoy too, most of which have low fat and sugar levels.

Broccoli is loaded with antioxidants, vitamins, calcium and folic acids. Studies have also linked broccoli to lower levels of cancer. Furthermore, it’s high in fiber and does not contain lots of calories. It has been known to help prevent osteoporosis and good for blood pressure too!

Tomatoes have a high level of lycopene, which is a good antioxidant for anyone. They have a good bit of vitamin A and C, plus they have plenty of potassium. They help decrease the risks of prostate cancers and heart diseases too, as well as lowering cholesterol.
Spinach
Spinach has health benefits that prevent bone loss and lowers the risk of cancers and heart disease. It’s high in vitamins and has a good bit of potassium and folate, as well as antioxidants. Spinach is one of the healthiest of all foods, comparatively.
Apples
Apples are very healthy, but be careful to try to get organic ones, because most apples have been sprayed with pesticides. Apples are good for lowering cholesterol and they help reduce the risks of asthma and diabetes too. They have a high amount of antioxidants and vitamin C, and are loaded with good fibers too. Careful though – they have a decent amount of sugar, so moderation is your friend.
Salmon
Salmon is great for preventing memory loss, heart disease and heart attacks. It helps to control arthritis and depression too. It is full of good omega-3 fatty acids. Wild salmon is best though, as salmon that are farm raised likely have contaminants.
Sweet Potatoes
Sweet potatoes are loaded with both nutrients and fiber. They have good antioxidant and anti inflammatory properties in them, and they are helpful for blood sugar levels. Potatoes help you feel full longer after eating too, so it’s a win-win!
Almonds
Almonds are so good because they are full of healthy monounsaturated fats. They also contain plenty of protein, calcium, fiber, vitamin E and potassium. They will help lower your cholesterol level and have great cancer fighting properties.
