Body Hacks for a Longer Life

Being healthy is often portrayed as a series of chores that doctors refer to as lifestyle changes. People make these changes based off solid evidence, but they quickly return to old habits for one reason or another. This can be avoided by making changes incrementally.

Since obesity is such a major problem, start with your diet. Sugary cereals in the morning are a habit many people carried over from childhood. Replace it with a high protein, low carbohydrate option. Yogurt mixed with honey, raisins and cinnamon is a good start. The traditional breakfast of eggs and bacon is another. Cook those eggs in real butter, and mix in some cheese. Lots of protein in the morning will keep you satisfied until lunch, and it’s a proven way to increase mental performance.

When it comes to snacks, unhealthy options are everywhere. Substitute nuts and dark chocolate for the high carbohydrate options. Even better, seek out the nuts covered in dark chocolate!
